Course Description
Foraging isn’t just a countryside past-time, it can be an urban adventure too! Join us for a delightful day wandering the urban wilds of Northfield in search of edible treats.
This course is aimed at those with little or no experience of foraging, and covers all the practicalities, legalities, and safety aspects of picking wild plants to eat. By the end of the day you will be able to confidently identify several readily available wild foods and be eager to get out there on your own adventure.
The day will begin with a quick briefing before we head out for a stroll around the neighbourhood, taking in side streets, parks, riversides and canal banks along the way. We’ll nibble along the way, and make some wild herb infusions too, as well as leaving you with recipes and suggestions for how to use your new found ingredients.
