Campaigning for Beginners. Our individual actions account for around 40% of UK carbon dioxide emissions, we are taking action to reduce our own carbon footprint. What about the other 60%? Find out how to communicate and engage with businesses and your political representatives at our campaigns group. Develop your communication skills & powers of persuasion. If you've never engaged with campaigning or the political process before this is for you. We will hear from guest speakers, understand where we have the power to change things and develop our skill for communicating with a wide group of people. Every second Thursday , 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Next meeting
- Thursday 7 January 2010 to discuss launching Birmingham Friends
of
the
Earth's 20's Plenty campaign in Northfield. If you are a seasoned campaigner please suggest this group to friends you think might be interested.

Gardening FRIDAY MORNINGS. 10am - 1pm. Come along to transform our lawn into a permaculture inspired organic fruit and vegetable plot. We are developing a pond, wildlife area, herb garden and more. Our garden, like our building is a practical demonstration of what can be done in most Birmingham homes. We even have examples of things that can be done without a garden such as window boxes. Whether you need gardening ‘L-plates’ or you are an experienced gardener there will be something for you. Let us know if you are interested in coming along on Saturday mornings. You don’t need to make a regular commitment either, just tell us when you can make it. |
